Christian Perron has been working on Montreal’s economic development for over twenty years. He has developed knowledge in the new economy, business models as well as the opportunities generated by the emergence of new technologies. Notably, he has been involved in the financing of numerous technology companies operating in the gaming, special effects and artificial intelligence sectors.
He successfully led Société de développement économique Ville-Marie from 2004 to 2014 and PME MTL Centre-Ville from 2015 to 2021.
Recently, he played a key role in managing federal, provincial, and municipal emergency funds to counter the effects of COVID-19 on businesses located in downtown Montreal.
Prior to that, Christian Perron worked as a consultant in finance and commercialization.
In addition, Christian has served for two and a half years in the federal government as a special advisor to the Ministère des Finances, Conseil du Trésor and Ministère de l’Industrie.
He began his career in commercial credit at the Royal Bank of Canada.
Christian Perron has a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Political Science from the University of Montreal and holds a Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Management Sciences from the University of Quebec.
