Montreal, April 13, 2023 – Centre d’entreprises et d’innovation de Montréal (CEIM) is proud to announce that it has been awarded $1,500,000 in funding from the Government of Quebec to stimulate the emergence and further support young startups that drive innovation and economic value throughout the province.

The announcement was made yesterday by Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, Minister responsible for Regional Economic Development and Minister responsible for the Metropolis and the Montreal Region.

This support is part of the 2022-2027 Quebec Research and Innovation Strategy (SQRI2), and was granted to CEIM which, by the scope and quality of its offering, has demonstrated excellence during this competition.

The company, which is headquartered in Montreal, has also built a strong presence across Canada (Ontario), France (Paris) and Colombia (Bogota) and serves a wide range of customers in sectors as diverse as real estate, engineering, tourism, education and transportation. 

In recent years, SmartPixel has been seeking to enhance its A.R.T. (Advanced Reality Tool™) platform which makes it possible for real estate developers to sell or rent their condos before they are even built. To this end, the company will unveil, in 2023, a new technology breakthrough that will, once again, mark the beginning of a new cycle for the Quebec-based SME.

Montreal, Sept. 20, 2022 – CEIM is proud to announce that it has awarded, through the Société d’Investissement Jeunesse (S.I.J.) impact fund, a total of $100,000 in funding to Chaac Technologies, a young Montreal-based company specialized in the development of operations digital transformation software.

The company, which has worked on a number of large-scale projects, has demonstrated solid and sustained growth since its inception in 2014. Its client base now includes prestigious organizations such as the Royal Canadian Navy, Defense Research and Development Canada, Triox Environmental Emergencies and Pomerleau.

Notice of Appointment of Ms. Julie Proulx

Following the annual general meeting that was held last Tuesday, May 31, Centre d’entreprises et d’innovation de Montréal (CEIM) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Julie Proulx to its Board of directors.

Ms. Proulx, who joined the Fonds de solidarité FTQ in 2001 and who now holds the position of Director, Investment – private equity and impact investments, has acquired solid expertise in project financing, particularly international projects.

Her experience and extensive knowledge of the market will be a great asset to the Board.
