Biography
Jo Van Betsbrugge obtained his PhD degree in chemistry from the University of Brussels (Belgium) in 1997. In 1999, following post-doctoral research at the University of Montreal, he founded BioQuadrant Pharmaceutical Intermediates Inc – a contract research and manufacturing organisation that provided drug discovery and drug development services.
In November of 2013, Jo was recruited by the National Research Council of Canada as an Innovation Advisor. He uses his extensive network of personal contacts and his knowledge of government innovation support programs to help his clients access the necessary government funding needed to start and grow their businesses. Jo provides expert advice and guidance to start-ups and established businesses on a variety of programs such as R&D tax credits, start-up financing, market development and export, acquisition of equipment, and hiring of specialized personnel.
OBJECTIVES
