Michael Davis has thirty-five years of management experience, largely in senior management roles. He began his engineering career with Canadian General Electric, and later joined Nortel Networks where he held a wide range of positions, covering the areas of product design and development (design engineering, product line management) and of marketing (Director of Marketing, Director of Customer Satisfaction). In the course of his responsibilities at Nortel Networks, he managed a budget of $10 million and a staff of 65 employees.
As Director of Customer Satisfaction at Emerson Energy Systems, Mr. Davis was responsible for a staff of 150 employees located in Montreal, Ottawa, Mexico and Malaysia. Before joining the CEIM in 2003, he provided services as a management consultant, counting among his customers start-up companies in the energy sector.
Michael Davis has developed significant expertise in industrial technology, including market development, product development and product line management, in a global market environment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electronic) from McGill University, is a professional engineer and member of the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario and is a chartered administrator. He also studied management administration at Queen’s University in Kingston and at the Harvard Business School (Executive Management Program). He is a member of several professional organisations.
