History

2005

CEIM acquires the building from which it has operated for 20 years from the Société de développement de Montréal. 

2003

Applied Technologies’ department repositions itself as the Sales Intelligence department and the Life Sciences department is created. 

2001

Closure of CEIM’s Fashion department.

2000

CEIM becomes an integral part of Montréal’s Multimedia City as CDTI Multimedia City offices are established on the top floor of the CEIM building. More than 19 000 square feet of additional office space is made available to entrepreneurs.

1998

The Micro Business department is renamed the Manufacturing department, and later the Applied Technologies department.

CEIM joins Mrs. Hélène Desmarais to found the Société de développement économique Ville-Marie (CLD).

1996

Creation of the Centre d’entreprises et d’innovation de Montréal (CEIM) and of the New Technologies Department.  The Fashion and the Micro Business departments follow. 

1986

The Montreal YMCA, in conjunction with Employment and Immigration Canada, launches the Centre d’entreprises Jeunesse de Montréal.  A precursor to CEIM. this entity later became CEIM’s micro business activities division.
